Warrants and Probation Violations
If you have a warrant out or a probation violation, don’t wait to get picked up! It is much better to have an attorney put your case on calendar and take care of the matter prior to you getting taken into custody on a warrant for obvious reasons. The judge would much rather have you take the initiative and show some responsibility than wait until you get caught. You may very well have a justified reason for not being able to comply with a term of your probation or failing to appear in court. Do not make matters worse by ignoring the situation.
Contact our office for a consultation and we can look online for your case information and usually add your case on calendar for the next business day or two to get the warrant recalled and put the matter over to resolve the case at a latter date. If the probation violation is extensive, we have a retired probation officer onsite to review your prior probation terms and prior probation report as well as contact probation and get you back on tract depending on what went wrong. Perhaps you will need ongoing drug treatment for which we can do drug testing and referrals to treatment programs and have you prepared before you go back to court to face your probation violation for which we can mitigate the violation.
